Black and White Film Workshop
This workshop takes you back to the days of film.
In the morning we will learn about film cameras, how they differ from our digital cameras of today and how they are similar. We will go over how film works, what grain is, and the process of capturing light.
Each attendee will then be loaned a film SLR, and will load the film into it. We will then shoot the roll and learn how to develop it… then, assisted by the instructor, display, cut and dry the film.
During lunch break (lunch not included in fee) the film will be left to dry.
We then will create a contact sheet using the enlarger and developer chemicals. Each attendee will pick one image and, after doing a test strip, print that image.
We hope you will enjoy this class! The imagery and fun (and smells) will stay with you for years to come!
